While visiting Tanzania, Tom stopped in at the Amani house where he donated $500 on behalf of CRF and brought new soccer balls and other gear. To support Tom, his efforts, and the Claudio Reyna Foundation make a donation today.

Gala Awards
In partnership with New York Soccer Club, the Foundation presents awards to distinguished soccer players for their humanitarian accomplishments. On June 25th, 2009 the
Foundation presented the award to Inter
Milan Captain and former Argentina
National Team Captain Javier Zanetti.
Javier and Paula Zanetti have decided to
set their Foundation up with the aim of
involving all sectors of society, and to lend
their support to a very deprived area of
Argentina. The Zanettis have, via their
Foundation, created a mechanism
through which the most socially
disadvantaged and diversely talented
children can receive, from their infancy, the help and education
that they need at every stage of their lives.

  | ACADEMY OUTDOOR GAMES & SOCCER FESTIVAL
The Soccer Fun Festival events are scheduled to take place in NYC and Newark, NJ in 2011. They
include players from all of our programs and we encourage parent participation. These events are
designed to give the children a healthy competitive environment, and to test the skills they've
learned throughout the year. Players will have a chance to meet kids from other locations and
take part in fun, soccer specific drills and games. We also have a short Parents versus Parents
game that most often becomes the highlight of the experiences. |

  | OPEN SOCCER SUNDAY
CRF provides open soccer every Sunday from 1:30-3:00PM, thanks to St. Benedict's
Preparatory School in Newark. Each week, weather permitting, children from the various
Newark locations can get together to knock the ball around and meet kids from other
schools and neighborhoods. This also provides a chance for the kids of Newark to play on a
real soccer field with regulation-sized goals, a stark contrast from the corner of the cafeteria
or the parking lot that most are used to. This opportunity has helped decrease our retention
concerns, which were prevalent mainly because there's only so much you can do 2-3 days
per week in the same small space. The joy on their faces when they get on the field is priceless, and their energy
levels skyrocket. Open Soccer Sundays obviously benefit the fitness level of the kids, but it also proves therapeutic
for children dealing with stressful issues. |
